The Right Reverend William Love, Bishop of Albany, visited St Hubert's Church, Lake Pleasant, on Sunday, 20 June 2010. He confirmed a class of young people from the Mission and enjoyed a meal with the large congregation after the service.

 

     
 

On February 12, 2010, as part of the fiftieth anniversary celebration of the formation of the Adirondack Mission, there was a coffee house at St Andrew's, Schroon Lake, with delicious desserts and talented entertainers.

     

In October 2009, St Paul's, Brant Lake hosted a colorful and well-attended quilt show.

 

     
 

FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE
ADIRONDACK MISSION

There was a packed church at St Paul's, Brant Lake, on Sunday, August 30, 2009, as members and friends of the Adirondack Mission gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the regional ministry comprising six churches in the southern Adirondacks. The Adirondack Mission serves people and communities in the Adirondack Park, a New York State preserve which encompasses 6 million acres of public and private land, a region of great natural beauty.  Here are some scenes captured in photos by members of the Mission.  (The slide show is a large file and may take a few moments to load--please be patient.)
